Operations Manager – Haiti

This position is located in or near Cap Haitian, Haiti. It works in and with the local Haitian Christian church building positive, healthy relationships with church partners. It works with the Partnership Developer (PD) to establish, execute, and stay on track for the overall Bright Hope Haiti operating budget. Additionally, the position coaches church partners in best practices for financial and operational excellence, ensuring alignment to Bright Hope’s community transformational model.

It works in collaboration with the PD and churches to establish program budgets, accounting practices, quality control, monitoring, accountability, and financial reporting. It also supports the PD with project planning and implementation, training, asset investigation, base-line measurement, organization, and program reporting. It is also the key liaison between church partners and Bright Hope marketing, helping marketing to best communicate with allies all that God is doing among Haitian Bright Hope churches.

Mutual Transformation Associate Uganda

The Mutual Transformation Associate resides in or near Kampala, Uganda and is responsible for working collaboratively with Bright Hope’s Uganda field team and U.S. marketing team. The position develops artistic mediums that translate the progress and success of all the God is accomplishing in Bright Hope’s Ugandan programs. Specifically, the role:

  1. identifies, captures, edits, and produces compelling, creative photographs, videos, and film;
  2. writes compelling stories of life change for videos, marketing collateral, and other marketing needs; and
  3. develops and implements strategic experiences that enhance mutual transformation between allies and the field.

The ideal candidate has an active, personal relationship with Jesus Christ, affirms Bright Hope’s belief statement, and has 3+ years media and communications and/or international development experience, with proven ability in photography, video, and story-telling. She/He is creative and has an artistic eye, but is also able to prioritize, respond to ongoing requests in a timely fashion and achieve results without close supervision.

She/He also have excellent English communication skills, is able to build bridges and connect people of different cultures and backgrounds, and is adaptive in a dynamic work environment.

Field Media Interns: Can you tell and capture a compelling story? Do you like to travel? We need people in the field gathering the stories of life change through Bright Hope partnerships. Our Field Media Teams are creative thinkers with proven skills in photography, video and story telling. Our Field Media Interns travel the globe to capture the heart and soul of our partners in order to share what they create with our allies. More information regarding our Field Media Interns:

  • Strong relationship with Christ
  • Intermediate to advanced skills with Adobe Creative Suites
  • 4-6 months duration
  • Photography will have dual rights

Partnership Development Interns: Our Partnership Developers (PD's) are the hands and feet of Bright Hope in the field. They're a uniquely gifted group of men and women who have a heart to help those living in extreme poverty. As an intern you will work alongside our PD's to craft development projects, build relationships with our church partners and search for impact stories and collect community data. Our interns must be versatile and exhibit strong communication and research skills. Requirements include:

  • Strong relationship with Jesus
  • 9 months to 1 year commitment
  • Community development experience or training
  • Self-funded position ($15,000/year)
  • International travel experience
