#PlantingHope is Bright Hope's Giving Tuesday initiative to raise $5,000 to provide opportunities for the extreme
poor to plant a garden and work towards self-sustainability.
We all know the saying, “Give a man a fish, and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime.”
At Bright Hope we could spend endless time, money and resources to feed the extreme poor, never breaking the cycle of poverty.
But trainings and opportunities for those in need to grow their own food allow them to provide for themselves. This
way, we are investing in solutions to lift people out of poverty and give them Hope for the future.
Planting a garden is an intervention that applies to every country where Bright Hope partners, and although it may look different
in each cultural context, the benefits for families, churches and communities continue to grow.
- Local church run greenhouses in Bolivia
- School vegetable gardens in Kenya
- Tree planting in Haiti
- Community gardens in Uganda
- Sustainable farming in Zambia
Don’t miss your chance to transform a community by #PlantingHope in the lives of the extreme poor!
