Support our Job Creation partners through sales of handmade crafts!
Our Job Creation programs offer meaningful opportunities for sustainable income for hundreds of artisans in some of the poorest places in the world. By selling these products through a personal, group or church bookstore or craft fair, you can help bring hope to these artisans while providing beautiful handmade products.
What is Job Creation?
Job Creation is the development of viable income-generating opportunities for people living in abject poverty. Bright Hope works with local partners around the world to train local citizens in a craft skill such as woodworking or jewelry-making. Bright Hope then provides a market for the resulting products through its online store - www.brighthope.com - and through relationships with fair trade stores, church bookstores, and craft sales. Having a meaningful trade is often the difference between abject poverty and access to medical care, schooling, and clean water.
Two Ways to Participate
We have two ways that you, your church or your group or organization can help:
Bright Hope Partner Support. Buy product from Bright Hope, sell it at a craft sale or in your store, and return all of the proceeds to Bright Hope to go back into our Job Creation programs.
Internal Project Support. Buy product from Bright Hope, sell it at a craft sale or in your store, and use the proceeds to support your own project or campaign.
Either way, the products you buy from Bright Hope will fundamentally change the lives of the artisans who make them.
