Ship Hope Packs to Haiti
In the initial phase of Hope4Haiti we focused on feeding the children to address the problems of malnutrition and the resulting inability to focus, concentrate and learn.
Hope Packs to Haiti focuses on providing educational resources for the now fed Haitian children of Pignon. This phase of our campaign includes providing the children with school supplies, equipping the teachers to be more effective and creative in their teaching.
By caring for children we are also focusing on their learning environment. One way we are doing this is by sending 17 quarts of chalkboard paint and cases of chalk to make sure each school is equipped with the basics of teaching reading and writing.
We will be providing the teachers with educational tools that are relevant for their culture and a bike for the long distances they currently walk to teach.
