The Med Packs have arrived!
After thousands of miles of travel by sea, and social and political in unrest, our Med Packs have arrived in Uganda and are on their way to their destination in Kenya. What you'll see in the video: (1) Truck loads of Med Packs make their way over the difficult roads through the countryside of Uganda to the rural villages of people who most need the supplies. Not your normal commute! (2) Villagers gathering at their local church to sing praises for the items they are about to receive. Bright Hope staff member, Carmen, marches with the church members to the location where the Med Packs will be distributed. There is much rejoicing along the way. (3) In another village, the community gathers to unpack the mosquito nets sent to protect them from malaria. (4) Carmen visits a local hospital. She shows each item of the Med Pack to the parents/guardians and explains how to use each item. (5) The entire town lines up to receive their Med Packs. The kids quietly wait in line with their families. Some people receive Band Aids on the spot. One lady dances for joy out of excitement about the blanket she has just received. (6) Men gather to inspect their Med Packs, curiously looking at each item. One man expresses his gratitude for the Bible he has just received. The distributors explain how to use each item in the Med Pack.
