Twenty-four-year-old Geoffrey Ade, is the Youth Development Officer for FKF (Football Kenya Federation), a position that puts him in charge of all the youth players in the Kenyan national football teams. Never in his wildest dreams did Geoffrey imagine himself working with a football organization and surely not at a national level.

When Dr. Gemima Jean and her husband Pastor Ruegens Jean married two years ago, they prayed for an opportunity so she could use her medical skills to serve their community. However, with no hospital or clinic in the area, she was forced to work in the regional capital, Gonaives, during the week.

Katiti Preschool Building Nearing Completion

The new preschool on Mbabala Island, Zambia is nearly finished. Now, the only work remaining is a small amount of plastering on the outside of the building, installing windows and doors and painting. The support of the local communities around Katiti has been fantastic due to a high level of volunteerism in the local churches and the community's desire to see their children educated to the highest level possible.

What prompted you to be a board member with Bright Hope?
I have had the opportunity to travel across the world with Bright Hope as their lead photographer the past 6 years. When the opportunity presented itself to be involved away from the lens too, I was excited to step into a different role. I believe in the work of Bright Hope, and am excited to be walking alongside them in a new way.

Growing up, summers were sometimes boring. However, there was usually that one activity I couldn't wait for such as a summer camp, a family vacation, or a visit to my grandparents' farm. Anticipation! Sometimes we love it, other times it just makes time go by more slowly.
