Partner Overview
There are families living in a crowded Indian city that are struggling to make ends meet, many earning less than $.75 a day. Often, children are taken out of school in order to supplement the family income. Because of this, women rarely have attended school beyond 5th grade. The families are burdened with hunger, insufficient health care, and the inability to attend school, which leaves them trapped in the cycle of poverty.
In 1998 Hope for Artisans was established to link local artisans with the global market. In partnership with Bright Hope they've expanded their vision to seek to bring holistic development to their community. Medical care, clean water and education support are a few examples of how Hope for Artisans is being a light of hope to the extreme poor.
