Partner Overview
Impoverished families in Barrio Nagasi, Philippines do not have resources for basic medical and nutritional needs. The children in these families are most affected by the lack of adequate health care. A local church has a vision for a holistic approach to community outreach. The church began a ministy to 60 children. As this program grew, they began to turn their attention to the health issues of the poor in this community.
A Health and Nutrition Clinic for the families in their community became a high priority. The clinic will enable the church to positively impact a much greater demographic of impoverished people in Barrio Nagasi. The Health and Nutrition Clinic will minister to local families by providing over-the-counter medicines for many local maladies. It will also distribute vitamins and nutritional supplements to malnourished children desperately in need of growth giving nutrition.
The church is also seeking to support and strengthen its local community by financially supporting rural evangelists and their families. In order to address the needs of Nagasi and the surrounding villages, three church workers (pastors and teachers) are needed. With financial support these workers will be able to serve both the spiritual and physical needs of their communities.
