$10,000 goal for #ProjectEmpower reached in one day!
Hoffman Estates, Ill. — On Giving Tuesday, December 1, we reached our goal of $10,000 at 6:00 p.m. CST thanks to the generosity of Bright Hope allies like you! This $10,000 will fully fund #ProjectEmpower, launching a sustainable small business through a local church in Bolivia.
We are so grateful to all the allies who went above and beyond, helping us raise an additional $1,252 to bring Hope to the extreme poor all around the world through Bright Hope’s Most Urgent Needs fund.
Christian music artists Calling Glory and Tanner Clark joined in the excitement on Giving Tuesday offering autograph CDs to people supporting the cause. Calling Glory posted a video calling people to action to use their holiday to empower a local church in Bolivia.
“Giving Tuesday is a growing movement in the U.S. for us to take pause and think of those less fortunate than ourselves,” said Drew Crabtree, member of Calling Glory, “We’re wanting to make the local church the hero by creating a small business which will directly fund the church’s ministries like after-school programs, providing healthy meals, and counseling services… so on this Giving Tuesday help us give back.”
Four #ProjectEmpower videos helped tell the story of how something as simple as a small business like a libreria can change the lives of a whole community. Here’s one of four videos that shared the story of a local church in Bolivia:

We are so excited to see what God has in store for the people of Bolivia through the new church microenterprise funded through #ProjectEmpower.
Giving Tuesday is just the beginning of the Christmas giving season. As we approach Christmas, we want to bring even more transformation to those in extreme poverty as well as to our faithful allies like you.
Help keep up the excitement of Giving Tuesday all month long and honor your loved ones through a gift of Hope purchased through Seasons of Hope!
