Calling Glory and Tanner Clark join Bright Hope’s #ProjectEmpower to combat poverty in Bolivia on Giving Tuesday
Hoffman Estates, Ill. --- Christian music artists Calling Glory and Tanner Clark are partnering with Bright Hope to raise $10,000 for #ProjectEmpower on December 1 for Giving Tuesday! Through #ProjectEmpower, participants are invited to join arms and empower a community in Bolivia through the local church.
A staggering 45% of the population in Bolivia lives in extreme poverty, suffering the pains of hunger and malnourishment, living in cramped dilapidated houses, struggling to find employment. This reality has motivated these Christians artists to action.
“We are so excited to support Bright Hope this Giving Tuesday. It’s a chance to give all our fans the opportunity and challenge to help empower those in poverty,” shares Jones Beene of Calling Glory. “Our faith demands that we live and act radically for others and this is a great way to do that. Instead of just focusing on Black Friday or Cyber Monday, we want our holiday season to be about giving back to those in poverty.”
Bright Hope's #ProjectEmpower will help a church in Bolivia launch a sustainable small business, called a libreria, to change lives in their community. A libreria brings the community access to internet and phone services, school supplies, books, and more. It creates jobs and empowers people to provide for their families.
Through #ProjectEmpower, this small business will directly fund the local church’s ministries addressing the needs of the extreme poor—ministries like after-school programs that keep kids off the streets and provide healthy meals, counseling services, and show them they are loved.
Support #ProjectEmpower and bring Hope to a community in Bolivia.
