Clean Water Implemented in Nguluni

Nguluni, Kenya — Water is a scarce commodity in this rural area, so the leaders of the Nguluni Centre brainstormed a solution.

They were able to dig a borehole to provide clean water for the village. Children can now easily drink and wash their hands since they’ve installed plumbing throughout the Nguluni Center compound. Water is also sold to the community during times of drought, which provides an outreach to the community and support in an area of need.

The water will also help the small fish farm, bee hive business, and farm to grow food on the school grounds. Recently they purchased a piece of farmland about 20 minutes away and hope that this will produce an increase in production to be used to provide nutrition and some extra income.
