Uttar Pradesh, India — Uvais and Abuzer were the first children enrolled in our school sponsorship program eight years ago. Now they are bright young men full of promise and hope to enter fifth and sixth grade. They are top of their class and work hard in school. The youngest in a family of 14 kids, these boys and their family know the difference it will make for everyone if they finish twelfth grade and enroll in college.

Pignon, Haiti — In early 2011, Bright Hope partnered with Harvesting Hope to develop a mid-scale farm that could eventually support the school feeding programs established by Pignon Ministries. We've received great news that the corn crop is growing steadily!

Atala Receives New Home

Apac, Uganda — Back in October, we brought you the story of Atala Tericania, a handicapped widow who lost her house and business in a fire last September. Several Bright Hope allies heard her story and responded to her situation. We are blessed by these allies who made it possible for Bright Hope to come alongside Atala and build her a new brick house.

Microloan Recipient Now Able to Care for Family

Samfya, Zambia — In 2009, Georgina was divorced and struggling to support her six children. Last year, she was chosen to receive a microloan from her local church. With the microloan and support from her loan group, she began to farm. This year, she’s expecting a bumper crop of cassava and groundnuts and has decided to remove herself from the program, stating that she is now able to care for her family.

Apac, Uganda — The Invisible Children (IC) campaign, “Kony 2012,” has brought to light the terrorist activities of Joseph Kony, a Ugandan rebel leader. IC’s video about Kony has been viewed over 100 million times in just the past few weeks and created a firestorm of controversy and increased pressure for his arrest. In support of this call for justice, Bright Hope's CEO/President, C.H. Dyer, want to share with you some actions you can take that will help African churches minister to those who have experienced the pain and destruction of Kony’s nightmarish civil war.
