Prayer Request from Partnership Developer to End Human Trafficking

Northern India — In October, "Times of India" reported that over 90,000 girls have been trafficked out of India to North America alone through Guatemala and Mexico.

A senior police officer from the Haryana state was arrested direct involvement in human trafficking. He was working as an agent along with a mafia leader who has high profile connections with politicians, police, and judicial senior leaders. Each girl was sold between $4,000 and $15,000 USD.

John David, Bright Hope’s Human Trafficking Partnership Developer, offered three specific things we can strategically pray for concerning this issue.

  • 1. Awakening among the Church and Christians in India to see this as an urgent issue that involves the life of the Church and His Kingdom.
  • 2. Creating an international network among those supporters of Bright Hope to address this issue.
  • 3. Developing a working church network within India.
