Sahayak Spreading the Gospel, Drinking Clean Water

New Delhi, India — 2012 was a fruitful year for Bright Hope's project, Sahayak.

26 families received Bibles and 21 children received Bible story books to increase their knowledge of the Gospel. Clean water filters were distributed to 21 families; over 45 families in total are drinking safe, clean water from this initiative. An additional blessing was the implementation of a literacy and healthcare program.

The church was driven to share the Gospel with the local community, which resulted in having regular Sunday church amongst the darkness that resides in this slum area. An average of 15 to 20 families attend the church every Sunday to hear the Good News of Jesus Christ. Additionally, a youth program was implemented this past year and runs regularly on Saturdays. Pastor Sharma, a new pastor of the church, asked Bright Hope and our allies to pray for continual support of these programs.
