Haut Savanette School Updated

Pignon, Haiti — The school at Haut Savanette badly needed improvements. Students were virtually sitting on top of each other due to lack of space and seating. One class was seated directly next to another, making it difficult for the listening students to hear their own teacher and concentrate on their work. Another problem Haut Savanette faced was having no toilets near the property. While the students wanted to be at school, these challenges made learning difficult.

Thanks to the partnership of Immanuel Church in Gurnee, Illinois, and Jerusalem Baptist Ministry, the school at Haut Savanette now has two completed classrooms and two pit latrines. Construction ended on April 9 and the children couldn't be happier!
