El Alto, Bolivia – Esperanza Chuquimia is currently the Director of the Children’s Program at Bright Hope’s partner church, Bethesda. Her name, Esperanza, means “Hope” in Spanish, which fits her perfectly as she is truly a beacon of Hope for the at-risk children of El Alto.

El Alto, Bolivia — One family benefiting from Bethesda's microloan program is the Zapata family. Carmen Zapata owns a business where she washes cars in the street in front of her house. She has two daughters Nayla (13) and Andrea (9), and Carmen is very proud to tell us that they are great students.

El Alto, Bolivia — Last week, Mark Lennox, our Partnership Developer to South America conducted a spiritual gifts seminar with Bethesda. The trainings were successful with approximately 135 attendants in El Alto and over 100 in Oruro.
