Introducing the Bright Hope 2021 Collectible Coin!

Did you know that the number of people who live on less than $2 per day around the world is skyrocketing? As a result of the coronavirus pandemic, experts expect 130 million more people to slip into extreme poverty by 2030.

Now is the perfect time to get involved and make an impact!

How to give a coin:

STEP 1

Purchase* a coin for $25, $50, or $100 from Bright Hope's catalog.

STEP 2

We’ll send you the coin and redemption code in the mail.

STEP 3

Give the coin and redemption code as a gift.

STEP 4

The recipient can visit our online Gift Catalog to redeem their coin through one or more life-changing projects.

With the Bright Hope Coin, you can do more than help the poor—you can teach your loved ones (your kids, grandkids, nieces, nephews, your Sunday school class, or someone you wish to honor) how to share God’s blessings with the precious people who are often forgotten.

With the Bright Hope coin, you can truly create a legacy of generosity!

So, what are you waiting for?

You can help transform the lives of the extreme poor with the Bright Hope Coin!

STEP 2

Make your selection from the online catalog by adding items to your cart.

STEP 3

When you are ready to check out, enter your redemption code in the "Apply Code" box. When you click on "Apply Code," the amount will be deducted from your balance.

Hold on to your coin as a reminder to pray for the poor.

Left-over credit

If you have money left over after redeeming your code, you have two options. You can designate the remainder of your balance to go towards Bright Hope’s “Most Urgent Needs” fund, or you can shop above your coin redemption amount and pay the rest of your balance with your debit or credit card.

Shopping over your coin’s redemption amount

You are welcomed to shop above your coin redemption amount and pay the remainder of your balance with your debit or credit card

Expiration date

Your coin expires 3 months after the purchase date because of the dire need to keep our programs running. If a coin has not been redeemed after 3 months of purchase, we will designate the balance to the program with the greatest need.

How does the Bright Hope Coin work?

Find answers to your FAQs here!

+ When will the Bright Hope Coin be available?

The Bright Hope Coin is a collectible coin, meaning that every year, we will design a new coin to add to your collection.

+ Where can I buy* a Bright Hope Coin?

You can purchase your coin in Bright Hope’s online catalog.

+ How do I redeem my coin?

Use your redemption code, which you will receive by email and mail, to purchase gifts for the extreme poor at www.brighthope.org/coin. There will be a place to include your redemption code when placing your online order.

+ What's so special about the Bright Hope Coin?

Each year, Bright Hope will design a new collectible coin. This coin will serve as a teaching tool to help educate younger family members and friends about the importance of sharing our resources with the poor.

+ What if I have money left over on my balance but there is nothing left that I can purchase with the amount left?

We have put a number of items in our catalog that should be easy to redeem with your coin. However, if you find that you have money left over after redeeming your code, you have two options. You can designate the remainder of your balance to go towards Bright Hope’s “Most Urgent Needs” fund. You are also welcomed to shop above your coin redemption amount and pay the remainder of your balance with your own debit or credit card.

+ Why does my coin expire?

Your coin expires because of the dire need to keep our programs running. If a coin has not been redeemed after 3 months of purchase, we will designate the funds to the program with the greatest need.

+ If I want to use the coin for something that costs more than the value of my coin, can I also use my own money?

Yes. You are welcomed to shop above your coin redemption amount and pay the remainder of your balance with your own debit or credit card.

+ I'm having technical difficulties. Can someone help me?

Yes, please send an email to info@brighthope.org or call our front desk at 224-520-6100

+ Does the coin have any actual value?

The Bright Hope Coin has no monetary value.

+ Do I really "purchase" or "buy" the Bright Hope Coin?

When you “purchase” or “buy” a Bright Hope Coin, you are actually making a donation and receiving the coin as a gift. The redeemable value of the coin represents the amount of your donation, not the value of the actual coin.

+ Can I send coins to multiple addresses?

All coins purchased in an order must be shipped to the same address. To send coins to multiple addresses, please place a separate order for each shipping address.

+ Why is there a chicken on the coin?

The Bright Hope coin is a commemorative coin. Each year the coin will feature a symbol of hope representing one of Bright Hope’s life-changing programs. The chicken on the 2020 coin reminds us that when we give a family a flock of chickens, their life is changed through the steady income from the sale of eggs and offspring!

When you purchase* a Bright Hope Coin, you will receive access to the FREE downloadable devotional, “The Problem of Poverty and How to Become God's Solution.”

Our Goal:

Self-Sustainability

Did you know that all of Bright Hope’s projects promote self-sustainability?

Our goal is for the people and communities we work with to have a better future, one where they are equipped to meet their own needs. Our training and support always originate with the local in-country church, so no one is ever looking at Bright Hope as the "hero."  Instead, we come alongside these churches to assess the community’s needs, and then work with the church leaders on training and equipping their community.

Partner with us to make an impact!

A Partner You Can Trust

One of Bright Hope’s highest values is integrity. We understand the value of every dollar we receive and the difference every dollar can make in the life of someone in extreme poverty. We value the trust you have given us to effectively and efficiently deliver help to those in need.

What is Bright Hope?

Bright Hope is a Christian organization made up of allies (donors) who want to bless and help the poorest people in the world. We build relationships with Bible believing churches in remote villages and city slums that want to minister to their poor neighbors. Then we help those churches bring “Hope for Today, Tomorrow and Eternity” to their neighborhood. We’ve been doing this for 50 years, in 5 counties and have thousands of allies, but we need your help.

*When you “purchase” or “buy” a Bright Hope Coin, you are actually making a donation and receiving the coin as a free gift. The redeemable value of the coin represents the amount of your donation, not the value of the actual coin.
