You can feed farmers in crisis

You may be familiar with the Natoot Farm that Bright Hope helped plant in drought-ridden Turkana. While the three-year-old farm continues to thrive, skyrocketing food costs plus months without rain have created life-threatening food scarcity.

According to Bright Hope’s country director in Kenya: “Famine is high in the area due to drought and rising food costs.”

And on top of famine and inflation, many communities where Bright Hope works—including the Natoot Farm—have been plagued by increasing theft, robberies, and similar crimes.

But we have a plan to fill the gap by providing emergency food aid until the harvest comes in—and we need your help!

Natoot Farm

To sustain 80 farmers and their families for two weeks, we need to raise $2,800. Your gift of $25, $50, or $100 will help supply each farmer with beans, corn flour, and cooking oil, twice a week for two weeks. Your support will also cover the cost of transporting food aid to the farmers.

Thank you for sustaining the Natoot farmers in their time of need. We trust in God’s faithfulness to carry them through scarcity and provide an abundant harvest soon!

And as always, if this program receives full funding, additional resources will support similar strategic projects.
