Like a pebble cast into a lake that create ripples across the surface, one small act can make an impact in the lives of desperate people throughout the world!
However, if we don’t cast the stone… if we don’t make an impact… the extreme poor will continue to lead lives of quiet desperation… without food, without the basic necessities we all take for granted… and without Hope.
But we won’t let that happen! For over 50 years, Bright Hope has been reaching out to the poorest of the poor, those who barely scrape by on less than $2 a day, with the tools they need to build a better life.
And we want you to join us!
Bright Hope’s Strategic Advantage: Sustainability
Bright Hope’s Impact programs focus on creating sustainable solutions to devastating problems. We do this important work through local, indigenous, Bible-believing churches in Kenya, Bolivia, Uganda, Haiti, and Zambia. Rather than simply addressing an immediate need, Bright Hope comes alongside people to help feed, train, and equip the extreme poor through:
to help the poor build and maintain their own businesses, such as farms, grain mills, or water-bottling enterprises, which will increase their incomes and fund local church ministry.
to establish community greenhouses, produce and livestock farms, fisheries, and farm co-ops, which result in widespread access to healthy food.
that will enable kids and adults to break the chains of generational poverty.
These programs do more than patch a daily problem—they provide a foundation for the future and a permanent escape from poverty.
When a pebble cast into the water hits the surface, the ripples extend far and wide… And the lake is forever changed.
Our Impact Program relies on partners like you to reach as many impoverished people as possible.
By joining Impact, you will be making a difference in the lives of the extreme poor by helping them build a life that sustains families, builds businesses, feeds communities, and educates people.
Bright Hope will continue to work in poor communities throughout the world and we invite you to join us and make an Impact in the life of the poor.
Bright Hope supports sustainability programs in five different countries, serving the poorest of the poor. Here are some examples of the work that Impact Allies are a part of:
Impact members support many microenterprise programs. The chicken program is a favorite as it provides a source of nutrition and income!
Impact Allies support the Christian Farmer’s Association, which provides agriculture training and microloans to help families build sustainable farming enterprises.

Uganda Impact Host
As an enthusiastic storyteller and photographer, nothing gives me more satisfaction than sharing people’s stories.
My goal is to impact people’s lives by telling their stories through videos, photos, and writing. Communicating these stories gives me hope that the world is filled with people willing to give a hand in order to help others out of extreme poverty. I chose to follow the Lord’s call to serve his people with my talents after I was moved by the many stories from around my country, Uganda.
There is nothing more satisfying than knowing that the work you do impacts lives and I love being able to communicate that impact to those who sacrifice and give to these causes from afar.
