A Message From C.H. Dyer – July 16, 2019

The last few months have been a roller coaster ride. Earlier this spring was a thrill as we promoted chickens for our microenterprise program. We got a great response to this campaign and I’m not at all surprised. People in our office agree that the chicken photos are really cute, the $6 price point is affordable and the program is fantastic with its multi-faceted benefits.

Currently we seem to be trudging uphill, working to spread awareness and send aid to those suffering from a life-threatening drought in Turkana, Kenya. Because of the lack of rainfall, food is incredibly scarce, and the people there are quite literally left with nothing but faith in God to provide food to carry them over to the next day.

Working on behalf of the extreme poor is not glamorous work. That’s why the stories of transformation, like the ones you’ll read about in this newsletter, are so encouraging.

As you read these stories of Hope, may you be encouraged and inspired to ask, “What can I do to help the poor today?”
