I often take for granted my access to churches that teach sound biblical truth by leaders who have received theological training.
But for many, this opportunity is scarce.
In rural Zambia, where Bright Hope ministers, most Christian leaders lack biblical training. As a result, they don’t have a solid theological foundation. Therefore, they struggle to apply scripture when facing tragic circumstances like abuse, hunger, depression, or spiritual warfare.
To help equip local leaders, Samfya Bible School (SBS) offers a two-year biblical ministry degree to church leaders in northern Zambia. But unfortunately, many in rural communities can’t uproot their lives to go to Bible school. So, Bright Hope has partnered with SBS to take Bible training to these leaders by establishing SBS extension sites.
But we need your help to fund more extension sites to provide biblical and theological training to front-line church leaders in rural Zambia.
Meet four of our alums who received theological training at one of the SBS extension sites:
As the demand for biblically trained pastors, elders, and leaders grows, we need to fund more SBS extension sites. It costs $3,000 to support one extension site for an entire year. This amount covers the cost of transportation to the site, curriculum materials, and salaries for teachers. Your gift will help to equip rural church leaders to disciple their congregants effectively and continue meeting the spiritual needs of impoverished families in Zambia.
Please join us by investing in the ministries of church leaders in rural Zambia. And if this program receives full funding, additional resources will support similar strategic projects.
