Now through June 30, your gift to Bright Hope will be matched dollar-for-dollar—up to $200,000—doubling your impact on families and farmers in extreme poverty.
That means twice the food in Kenya, twice the healthcare in Uganda, twice the protection for children in Bolivia and twice the support for farmers in Haiti and churches in Zambia.
All admin costs are covered, so 100% of your gift goes directly to the field.
This isn’t just about meeting needs—it’s about building lasting change. In places like Mabo
Kunda and Mbabala Island, training and support are equipping churches to lead the way in transforming entire communities.
Double Your Impact. Transform Lives.
Will you give today and be part of something that lasts—while your gift can still go twice as far?

What happens when a farmer gets the tools, training and support to grow more than just food? In Zambia, in communities like Mabo Kunda and Mbabala Island, in-depth training leads to the transformation of entire communities through local churches.
At Bright Hope, we believe lasting change happens when people are empowered to help themselves, and the church is equipped to lead the way.
Farmers Growing More Than Food
Most families in these rural communities live on what they grow. But with little access to tools, training or capital, their farms barely feed their families, let alone generate income.
That’s why we equip these subsistence farmers with small loans, crop production training and biblical discipleship. Farmers can plant crops like corn, soybeans or sunflowers with a small investment, increasing their yield by 100% or more.
These aren’t just farming skills. They’re building blocks for sustainable income. And when farmers earn more, they give more—to their churches, to their communities and to impoverished families around them.
Strengthening the Church, Starting with Farmers
As incomes rise, churches grow stronger—financially and spiritually. In Mabo Kunda, church leaders recently completed training on recognizing and confronting false doctrine. Now, they’re stepping beyond their Sunday routines and actively serving their communities. They visit homes, lead informal Bible studies with neighbors and bring Christ into the everyday moments of people’s lives.
One encouraging example comes from Dainitius, a church leader in Mabo Kunda. After attending leadership training, he began visiting the sick and sharing the Gospel. His wife and children, inspired by his example, now serve in church as well. “I look forward to the day when I will teach these lessons to my entire congregation,” he says.
When Business Finances Ministry
Not long ago, the council of church leaders in Mabo Kunda was hesitant to engage with Bright Hope, uncertain of our intentions. But after one of their pastors attended another Bright Hope ministry, Samfya Bible School, their perspective shifted. Not only did they ask to join the church network, but they also committed to going through all the same leadership and discipleship training as other churches. Today, they stand shoulder to shoulder with fellow leaders, united in purpose and grounded in truth.
Nowhere is the link between income and compassion clearer than on Mbabala Island. Through our partnership with the Christian Farmers’ Association (CFA), churches use income from small businesses—like a hammer mill—to fund compassion work for the poor.
Profits from the hammer mill enabled church leaders to visit 519 vulnerable families and contribute about $850 toward meeting their urgent needs for food and other necessities. Their dedication to the poor shows the powerful impact a church can make when it has the resources to serve well.
The Bigger Picture: Dignity, Discipleship and Long-Term Impact
Truly, when local churches gain both spiritual training and financial stability, they become catalysts for deep, lasting change in their communities. That’s why Bright Hope focuses on both: equipping believers with biblical truth and sustainable economic tools. The result? Leaders who disciple, churches that give and communities that thrive.
This is more than poverty alleviation. It’s Kingdom transformation.
