Waterborne Illnesses Decreasing Thanks to New Pumps

Mbabala Island, Zambia — Lives are changing on because of your support of Bright Hope's clean water initiatives on the island. The local clinic has noted significant reduction is waterborne illness and families are appreciating improved access to the water from the pumps. Cases of diarrhea have dropped from 30-50 to 5-10 per month for children under 5.

Samfya, Zambia — A leader from a Samfya church was told about an elderly lady, Godfridah, who found herself homeless after recent devastating flooding caused her hut to collapse. He found her sitting in front of her dilapidated home reading her Bible. It is unusual to find someone in the village with a Bible, so he asked what she was learning from the Word. Godfridah answered that she was looking for salvation.

Samfya, Zambia — Samfya Bible School is in the process of re-developing its curriculum. The new structure will allow the classes to be presented within the context of the rural church and community. 


Zakhira Church Steadily Growing
