Hi there. Are you new around here?
Maybe you randomly clicked and page-hopped your way to a Facebook post of ours, saw a cool photo on Instagram, or landed on our website from Google. Hopefully, you were intrigued by what you found. But maybe you want to know a little more, like:
- Who are we?
- What do we do?
- How do we do it?
- Are we to be trusted?
These are important questions—and conversations we love to have. So, to answer them, we’ve written five blog posts that strive to convey our passion, values, and the heart of who we are at Bright Hope.
Here’s a snippet of why we wrote each one:
Hope for Today, Tomorrow and Eternity
HTTE is an acronym you might see around here—it stands for Hope for Today, Tomorrow, and Eternity. Everything we do falls into one of these categories. We partner with local churches in impoverished communities to equip and work with them to make long-term, life-changing impact—physically and spiritually—among people who live on less than $2 a day.
Feeding programs for children in Bolivia are an example of a Hope for Today program. Find out other ways we help with immediate needs:
Agricultural training in Uganda is just one example of Hope for Tomorrow. How else do we empower people for long-term change? Read on…
Imagine a pastor with no Bible…or only a primary school education. It happens. Heartbreaking, isn’t it? So, providing Bible school training in Zambia is an example of a Hope for Eternity outreach. Learn more here:
Serving the Whole Person
The most effective way to make an impact in the lives of the extreme poor is to tend to all their needs in order of importance. The proverb that says it is better to teach a man to fish than to give him a fish is true. Unless, of course, the man is starving right now and doesn’t have the strength to do his own fishing. Then, in that moment, it’s most important that we hand him a ready-to-eat fish. Learn more about how our holistic model works:
We understand that if you invest in a program or an organization, you want to know it’s making a real impact. We get that. But not only that, it’s critical to us that your investment is making an impact in your life too. Here’s how it can…
Okay, we hope those answered some questions for you. Do you feel like you’ve gotten to know us a little better?
We’d love to get to know you too.
